Timeline Animations
These banner images were a subset of a wider project at Fathom to design an interactive timeline for General Electric, showcasing their incredible archives alongside their contemporary innovations in fields that include power, healthcare, and aviation. In addition to working on the design of the timeline itself, I also built out this suite of animated graphics.  Documentation of the interactive timeline can be found here.










The banner animations represent each of the different General Electric business sectors; pictured here are Appliances, Aviation, Energy, and Healthcare. Additional project documentation below.

About Studio No. 5

The studio was founded by Rachel Harris, who has over fifteen years of experience working at the intersection of information design, branding, and motion graphics. She has most recently worked as a senior designer for the Harvard Kennedy School, and Fathom, a data visualization studio.

Rachel holds a MFA from RISD in graphic design, and has taught classes and served as a visiting lecturer at design programs around New England.
